About the role

The Business Operations Manager will play an essential role in our team working closely with Darumatic’s Co-Founders. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your current skills and knowledge to support a rapidly growing Sydney based tech company. Your role will be to seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers as well as provide general business administration and HR support in a proactive and timely manner. As a part time opportunity this role provides added flexibility to the lifestyle of the successful candidate.

It is an added advantage if you have experience in developing leads from marketing campaigns and meeting sales quotas. You will be responsible for the entire sales cycle from establishing a customer contact until signing a deal.

Your key accountabilities

  • Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
  • Contact potential clients via phone and emails
  • Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
  • Customise product solutions to increase customer satisfaction
  • Build long-term trusting relationships with clients
  • Assist as a point of contact for some communications i.e the phone, email, employee inquiries etc. Duties also include interfacing with clients
  • Support to arrange appointments, team events etc.
  • Attend meetings and take notes if required
  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and Account Executives
  • Build reports to present
  • Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans

About you

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Analytical mind with a business acumen and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem-solving aptitude
  • Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail
  • Willingness and ability to undertake general business administrative tasks
  • Tech-savvy and acquainted with office management procedures
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations
  • BSc degree in Marketing, Business Administration or relevant field (qualified or still studying)

Nice To Have

  • Work experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Account Manager or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (eg: inbound, outbound, field sales)
  • Track record of achieving sales quotas
  • Experience with CRM software
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
